Abstract : The article talks about the history, historical geography, distillation technology, packaging and storage of wine. In addition, the article mentions the special place of wine in ancient cultures and even during archaeological excavations in 2000 BC in Anatolia during the Hittites, grapes and wine were of great importance in social life, and in addition, grapes and wine were given as gifts to the gods in religious rituals. In the “Zagros Mountains” near the city of Urmia in southern Azerbaijan, evidences related to wine dating back to 5400 BC were found at Haji Firuz Tepe. In the 5th century AD, the Ancient Greek historian Herodotos also mentioned the export of wine from Azerbaijan to the lower regions along the Tigris and Euphrates. In the 13th century, high-grade alcohol was characterized as “Water of Life” and in Latin as “Aqua Vita”. Hieronymus Brunschwig, a doctor from Strasbourg, wrote two extensive works on distillation in connection with the method of preparing medicine from plants. The book on “Distillation of Simple Substances” in 1500 and the book on “Distillation of Mixtures” in 1512. In the second work, it is stated that the alcohol obtained by distillation is a medicine for all ailments.

Moldovanın Kənd Təsərrüfatı və Qida Sənayesi Nazirliyi yanında fəaliyyət göstərən Üzüm və Şərab üzrə Milli Ofisin təşkilatçılığı ilə Kişineu şəhərində “Üzüm tingçiliyində adaptasiya üçün texnoloji həllər - şərab sektorunun dayanıqlılığı və iqlim dəyişikliklərinə davamlılığı üçün strateji amil” mövzusunda beynəlxalq seminar keçirilib. Tədbirdə Azərbaycanı Üzümçülük və Şərabçılıq Elmi-Tədqiqat İnstitutunun direktoru Vüqar Səlimov və İnformasiya təminatı və elmi nəticələrin tətbiqi şöbəsinin müdiri Aynurə Quliyeva təmsil edib.
